KraftMaid Construction in Watauga, TX | Sawyer Remodel Fort Worth

We provide independent KraftMaid cabinet installation, refacing, and repair across Watauga. Most of the KraftMaid work we do here isn’t a full teardown. It’s leveling base cabinets on slabs that have shifted, replacing worn hinges and glides, and refacing boxes that are structurally sound. The one thing that separates us: we’ve been working on Watauga’s slab-on-grade ranches since the early 2000s, so we know exactly what this clay soil does to a cabinet run. Call (682) 841-6652 for a free estimate. Our KraftMaid sales & service team handles everything from single-box repairs to full kitchen remodels.

Why Watauga Residents Choose Us for KraftMaid Service

Luca Romano, our owner and lead remodeler, spent two decades swinging hammers on everything from tract homes to custom builds before founding Sawyer Remodel Fort Worth. He learned cabinetry the hard way: on real job sites, fixing real problems. That’s why we don’t push replacement when a repair makes more sense. Watauga homeowners call us because we can tell the difference between a worn-out glide and a slab that’s twisting the cabinet carcass. We’re rooted in this work. We’ve pulled and reset KraftMaid runs from Pecan Street to Sycamore Lane, and Watauga service area coverage is what we do every week. Background-checked, uniformed technicians show up on time, and the written price lands in your hands before any tool leaves the truck. The work talks. We just back it up.

Common KraftMaid Construction Problems We Solve in Watauga

  • Delaminating thermofoil door fronts on Venicia and Vantage lines. Watauga’s humid summers and heat cycling cause the foil to bubble at bottom edges, especially over slab floors where warm, moist air rises. We assess whether the box is worth refacing or if a full replacement is the smarter spend.
  • Sagging or misaligned drawer fronts on Durham and Marlow styles. The original plastic roller glides wear out, and Watauga’s seasonal slab movement flexes the drawer boxes. We swap in OEM or matched aftermarket soft-close glides and realign the faces.
  • Loose corner gussets and cracked face frames on older KraftMaid boxes. When cabinets are shimmed over an uneven slab, foundation movement slowly twists the carcass. We reset the run, re-shim properly, and reinforce failing joints.
  • Stripped hinge-mount screw holes on frameless Venicia cabinets. Particleboard end panels soften near sinks and dishwashers from humidity and minor leaks. We drill, fill, and re-set hinges so the doors hang straight again.
  • Doors that won’t close straight after years of slab settling. This is the most Watauga-specific problem we see. The cabinet box looks fine, but the slab underneath has moved. We level the run and re-set the doors so they shut flat.

KraftMaid Service in Watauga: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

A galley kitchen opened up to the dining room with a new peninsula

Watauga’s tree-named streets (Pecan, Maple, Sycamore) hide a common issue: the large, shallow-rooted trees planted in parkways are notorious for cracking driveways and sidewalks, and their roots often invade old clay sewer lines. When roots crack a sewer line under a kitchen, the surrounding soil gets wet, expands, and heaves the slab. That heave travels up into the cabinet run. We’ve seen it on Sycamore Lane, Maple Street, and plenty of other Watauga kitchens. The fix isn’t just shimming the cabinet. We check the slab under the run, repair the drain if needed, and then reset the cabinets on a stable surface. That’s the difference between a cabinet repair that lasts and one that fails again in a year.

One job sticks with us. Our tech pulled a run of KraftMaid Vantage base cabinets on Sycamore Lane last spring after the homeowner complained the doors wouldn’t close straight. The slab under the sink cabinet had heaved nearly half an inch from a sycamore root pushing into the old clay sewer line. We removed the cabinet, re-routed the drain, poured a small self-leveling patch on that section of slab, then reinstalled the original boxes with new soft-close hinges and adjustable legs. Doors shut flat again without buying a single new cabinet.

KraftMaid Models & Products We Service in Watauga

We work on KraftMaid Vantage, Venicia, Durham, and Marlow lines regularly. Venicia is the frameless line with aluminum edge pulls; Durham is the raised-panel maple door style; Marlow is the shaker with soft-close hinges. Our parts approach is honest: we use OEM KraftMaid hinges, drawer glides, and touch-up kits when they’re available and priced reasonably. For obsolete parts on 1980s-era boxes, we substitute quality aftermarket soft-close hardware that matches the original hole patterns. We keep common fast-movers stocked locally so Watauga turnaround is measured in days, not weeks.
