Grohe Driveway & Pavers: The Fort Worth Owner’s Guide
We stock and install Grohe-compatible driveway and paver components across Fort Worth, with typical installed pricing running $7,000 to $18,000 for a full paver driveway and $3,500 to $9,000 for asphalt paving work. Most Fort Worth homeowners discover a driveway problem the same way: a paver sinks after heavy rain, a crack spreads across the slab through a freeze-thaw cycle, or water pools against the garage slab instead of draining toward the street. The good news is a failing driveway doesn’t always mean full replacement – sometimes the fix is a repair, a re-grade, or swapping out a section of pavers. Sawyer Remodel Fort Worth is an independent service provider, not affiliated with Grohe, but we work with their hardware lines on projects where a Grohe fixture or drain ties into the driveway, patio, or paver surface. We know Fort Worth soil, Fort Worth drainage, and Fort Worth paver failures.
Which Grohe Models This Applies To
Grohe doesn’t manufacture pavers or driveway material – their hardware comes into play where a driveway drain, channel drain, or outdoor fixture connects to the paver surface. The compatibility questions we get most often involve Grohe outdoor drains, floor-level shower drains reused in a pool deck or patio build, and exterior spigots or hose bibs set into a paver border. Here’s the problem we see often: a homeowner buys a Grohe drain body or grate online, then discovers the collar height doesn’t match the paver thickness. Fort Worth pavers typically run 60mm for residential driveways, and some Grohe drain collars top out at 40mm – that means water sits against the grate instead of flowing through it. If you think you have a mismatch, bring us the part number stamped on the side of the drain body or the underside of the grate. We match the exact Grohe series before we ever cut a paver. We also stock KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone hardware on our trucks for kitchen and bath work, but driveway drains and outdoor fixtures are nearly always ordered to spec after we measure your surface.

Signs Your Grohe Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Water pools against the garage slab after a rain. This usually means the paver base has shifted and the surface no longer slopes toward the street. The fix may be resetting the pavers on compacted road base, not replacing them – but it has to be addressed before water works its way under the slab.
- Pavers rock under foot. A wobbly paver is a bedding sand failure. The sand layer under the pavers has washed out or settled, and every rainstorm makes it worse. If you catch it early, we can lift and reset the affected section.
- Cracks running diagonally across a concrete driveway. Fort Worth’s clay soil expands and contracts hard through summer and winter. A diagonal crack is usually a base failure, not a surface problem, and sealing it alone won’t fix what’s moving underneath.
- A drain grate sits higher or lower than the pavers around it. This is the Grohe-specific failure we see most. The drain settled after install, or the collar was never set to the paver height. Water bypasses the drain entirely and the pavers around it start sinking within a season.
- Weeds growing through paver joints every month. That’s a sign the joint sand has failed and water is getting under the pavers. It starts as an eyesore and ends as a base washout if it’s not re-sanded and sealed.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
A full paver driveway in Fort Worth runs $7,000 to $18,000 depending on square footage, paver material, and how much base work the soil underneath requires. Asphalt paving runs $3,500 to $9,000, and concrete driveway replacement sits between $4,500 and $12,000. The biggest variable is what’s under the surface: if the existing base is solid, we can often reuse it and only reset the pavers. If the base has washed out, that’s where the price climbs – and you don’t want us to skip that step, because fresh pavers on a soft base will fail within two years. Every estimate includes the written line-item price before work starts, the haul-away of old material, and a workmanship warranty in writing. Luca Romano walks every driveway job himself before we send numbers, so you’re getting a price based on what he saw, not what someone guessed over the phone.
DIY or Call Us?
You can check drainage slope with a four-foot level and a hose – if water runs toward the street and drains fast, your problem is likely cosmetic. You can also re-sand paver joints with polymeric sand on a Saturday if the base is still solid. But if you’re lifting pavers, resetting a Grohe drain collar, or digging out a failed base, call (682) 841-6652. This is heavy work with real risk: a shifted paver weighs 20 to 40 pounds, base work means digging deep enough that a wrong move destabilizes the whole section, and a drain set at the wrong height turns a $500 fix into a $5,000 redo. We’re the ones you want cutting into your driveway, and we give you a written price before we touch it. The work talks. We just back it up.
FAQs

A properly installed paver driveway lasts 25 to 35 years in Fort Worth’s climate, assuming the base was compacted correctly and the joints are re-sanded every few years. The pavers themselves rarely fail – it’s almost always the base underneath that gives out first.
Hairline cracks can be sealed and will hold for years, and those repairs typically stay under $1,800 on a standard Fort Worth driveway. Wide or diagonal cracks usually mean the base has shifted, and patching those is a temporary fix that fails again. Call (682) 841-6652 and we’ll tell you which one you have – the estimate is free.
Most paver resets and drain collar corrections are done in one to two days. Full paver driveway installations usually take three to five days, including excavation, base compaction, and final sanding. We map the schedule before work starts and you get photo updates throughout.
We order Grohe drain bodies and grates to match your exact paver thickness and series after we measure the site, because the wrong collar height is the most common failure we see. You can order the part yourself, but if the spec doesn’t match your pavers, we can’t install it – and you’ll own the return. Call us first and we’ll get it right the first time.
