Barrette Bathroom Remodeling: The Fort Worth Owner’s Guide
If you’re holding a Barrette-branded bath accessory, shower trim, or vanity component that’s cracked, corroded, or just stopped fitting right, we can match it and install a replacement, usually within the same week. A full Barrette bathroom remodeling project in Fort Worth runs $9,000 to $28,000, depending on scope, materials, and whether we’re chasing rot, plumbing, or tile work behind the walls. Most owners discover the failed part mid-shave or mid-shower: a towel bar that tore out of the drywall at 6 a.m., a shower door roller that finally seized, or a vanity hinge that stripped clean out of a particleboard stile. The good news is that one bad part rarely means a gut job, but it does mean matching the Barrette footprint so retrofitting doesn’t turn into a science experiment.
Which Barrette Models This Applies To

Barrette bathroom hardware covers a lot of ground: towel bars, robe hooks, pivot shower doors, sliding shower door rollers, vanity cabinet hinges, drawer slides, and the occasional grab bar. The compatibility gotcha is that Barrette uses both standard 16-inch and custom 24-inch on-center mounting patterns, depending on whether the piece was sold through a big-box store or through a plumbing supply house in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The box-store versions favor cheap mounting plates with elliptical screw slots; the supply-house versions favor solid brass feet with fixed screw holes. If you buy the wrong one, you’ll be drilling new holes or staring at a gap you can’t caulk away. Before you order anything, look for the Barrette part number on the underside of the bracket or the inside of the shower door stile. If you can’t find it, measure center-to-center of the mounting screws and send us a photo. We keep a rolling inventory of common Barrette towel bars, pivot door hinges, and roller kits on the service truck, and we can source the rest through our supplier network in two to three days.
We stock and install Barrette-compatible bathroom remodeling parts as an independent contractor. We’re not affiliated with the Barrette brand itself, which is exactly why we can tell you when an aftermarket part is the smarter buy and when you should stick with the OEM piece.

Signs Your Barrette Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Towel bar or robe hook pulls out of the wall with a puff of drywall dust. The mounting plate was anchored into drywall without a stud or a proper toggle, or the zinc plate itself has fatigued. This is the most common Barrette failure we see in Fort Worth homes, especially in older drywall that has seen years of humidity cycles.
- Shower door roller gets sticky, then crunchy, then the door jumps the track. Barrette roller kits use a nylon tire on a zinc or brass bearing. Fort Worth’s hard water leaves scale deposits that chew up the nylon tire within a few years. Once the tire delaminates, the door drags and the top rail starts to flex.
- Vanity door hinge strips out and the door sags. Barrette vanities use a mix of concealed and semi-concealed hinges. The particleboard stile around the screw holes absorbs moisture from shower steam and softens. You can see the door sag before you open it. Once two screw holes strip, the stile is done and the hinge needs a different footprint or a repair plate.
- Grab bar moves when you lean on it. If you can feel the bar shift even an eighth of an inch, the wall anchors are failing or the bar was mounted to hollow drywall. A grab bar that moves is not a bar you can grab. This is a safety item, not a cosmetics item.
- Shower pivot door drips water under the sill onto the floor. The pivot hinge bushing wears, the door drops a fraction, and the sweep seal no longer kisses the threshold. The water ends up on your bath mat, then your baseboard, then your subfloor.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
A simple Barrette part swap (towel bar, hinge, roller kit) runs $120 to $400, parts included. A full Barrette bathroom remodel in Fort Worth lands between $9,000 and $28,000, and the spread comes down to what’s behind the tile. If we’re just swapping fixtures, the price stays low. If we’re pulling the tub to chase a rotted subfloor or re-framing a wall to carry a grab bar on a backing board, the price climbs. Every quote is a line-item written price before work starts. You’ll see the part cost, the labor, and what we’re charging to haul off the old hardware. No change orders, no surprise invoice. The workmanship warranty is a full year under our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, in writing, at no cost to you.
DIY or Call Us?
If you’re swapping a towel bar and the original mounting holes are clean and on-stud, you can probably handle it with a screwdriver and a level on a Saturday morning. If you’re dealing with a Barrette pivot shower door, the roller assembly carries the full weight of the glass, and the glass can shatter or the frame can come off the hinges if the door is off-balance. That’s the one to call us for. A caught finger between a shower door and a fixed panel is a trip to urgent care, and we’d rather pull the door ourselves with the proper suction grips and a second set of hands. Torn-out grab bars are another call-us item because we’ll locate the studs and mount the bar to blocking that meets Fort Worth code. Call (682) 841-6652 and we’ll give you a straight answer on whether it’s a Saturday project or a saw-and-blocking job.
FAQs

Box-store Barrette towel bars and hinges typically last seven to ten years in Fort Worth before plating corrosion or stamped-zinc fatigue catches up, and shower rollers wear out faster, around three to five years with hard water. The climate speeds up corrosion; humid summers put a steady moisture load on every plated screw and bracket in the room. Call (682) 841-6652 if you’re spotting rust or play in the bar.
You replace the roller kit, not the individual wheel, because the bearing and tire come as an assembly and the mounting stud wears with them. We keep common Barrette roller kits on the truck for Fort Worth jobs. Call (682) 841-6652 and we’ll tell you what kit you need from a photo and measurement.
A towel bar or hinge swap takes under an hour, including the drywall patch and touch-up if the old anchor tore out; a shower door roller replacement runs about an hour, and a full Barrette bathroom remodel runs three to six weeks depending on scope. We’ll tell you the day we start, the day we finish, and send photo updates before and after.
We carry the most common Barrette towel bars, pivot hinges, and shower roller kits on the truck, and we can source model-specific pieces through our Fort Worth supplier network in two to three days. If you’re already mid-teardown, call (682) 841-6652 and we’ll tell you same-day what we have on hand and what needs to be ordered.
No. The written price you approve before we start is the price you pay at the end, period. If we open the wall and find rot behind the shower valve, we stop, we show you, and you approve the new line item before we keep going. No surprise invoice at the end. That’s how Luca built Sawyer, and it’s the only way we’ve worked since 2005.
The work talks. We just back it up. If you’ve got a Barrette towel bar that’s eating drywall or a shower door that’s trying to leave the track, call (682) 841-6652 and we’ll get it straight.
