Cover Roofing: The Fort Worth Owner’s Guide
If your Cover roofing system has a failed panel, flashing, or fastener and you need it matched and installed, we stock Cover-compatible roofing materials on our trucks and can typically complete the swap the same day we diagnose it. Installed repair pricing in Fort Worth runs $400 – $1,800 depending on the section size and what’s underneath. Most owners catch it after a hard storm rolls through North Texas: a drip near the soffit, a buckled panel visible from the driveway, or granules washing down the gutter after a hail hit.
We’re an independent Fort Worth service provider, not affiliated with Cover. What we do know is their roofing line inside and out, because we’ve pulled apart enough failed sections to know exactly where they go first.
Which Cover Models This Applies To

Cover’s roofing line spans three configurations we see regularly across Fort Worth: standing-seam metal panels, the architectural shingle series, and the low-slope membrane system used on flat sections and porch overhangs. The panel width and seam profile are the two measurements that matter most. Standing-seam runs 12 and 16 inches wide in Cover’s catalog, and mixing them is the most common compatibility mistake we correct. The wrong width looks close until you’re on a ladder, and then it’s three seams that don’t line up and a leak at the lap joint.
Your best identifier is the stamp on the underside of a removed panel or the inner flap of a shingle bundle. Cover prints the series number there, and it’s the one thing we ask you to check with a phone photo before we bring stock out. For OEM versus aftermarket: on standing-seam, OEM is the only route we recommend, because the seam geometry is proprietary and aftermarket panels won’t lock tight. On the shingle line, a GAF or CertainTeed equivalent with the same exposure and wind rating holds up fine in Fort Worth weather, and it saves you 15 to 20 percent.

Signs Your Cover Roofing Is Failing
- Water staining at the eave or soffit corner. This usually means a seam fastener backed out or a panel end was cut too short at the drip edge, letting capillary action pull water back underneath. You’ll notice it first on the west side after a driving rain.
- Visible oil-canning or a warped panel face. Texas sun does this. The panel expands and contracts daily, and once the fastener slots at the seam wear oval, the panel can’t flex like it’s designed to. It buckles instead.
- Loose or missing screws at the seam line. Cover’s neoprene washer screws fail from the top down. The washer cracks in heat, the screw backs out a thread at a time, and the panel lifts enough to let water in. You’ll see a row of slightly raised fasteners before you see the leak.
- Granules collecting in gutters or at downspout outlets. On the shingle line, this is normal for year one and a warning after year eight. In Fort Worth, hail accelerates it. Once granule loss exposes the mat, the shingle cooks and cracks within two summers.
- A soft or spongy deck section when walked. By the time the deck feels soft, water has been sitting between the Cover membrane and the plywood for months. This is the one symptom that means the repair doubles, because we’re replacing decking, not just the surface.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a Cover roof section repair in Fort Worth, you’re looking at $400 to $1,800 installed. The low end covers a few replaced shingles or a flashing repair with existing materials. The high end is a full panel section with underlayment, new seam fasteners, and deck repair on a two-story slope.
What drives the number: roof pitch and story height (steeper and higher costs more in labor and safety setup), how much decking needs replacing, and whether we’re salvaging existing panels or cutting new ones to match. You’ll get a written line-item price before we touch anything, so the number you approve is the number you pay. Our workmanship warranty on roofing repairs runs a full year under the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and if the fix fails, the second visit is free.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely check two things from the ground: seam fasteners that are visibly lifted and granules washing through the gutter. If you’re comfortable on a ladder, a phone photo of the Cover stamp under a raised panel helps us bring the right stock. What you shouldn’t do is walk a steep roof or pull panels yourself. Standing-seam panels are under load, and one slipped panel edge or a foot on the wrong seam in the rain, and you’re not buying a repair anymore, you’re calling an ambulance. Same goes for any work near the ridge line or on a two-story slope.
If it’s a flat one-story section and you want to re-seat a single screw, fine. Anything past that, call us at (682) 841-6652. We’re already set up for it, and the diagnosis is free.
FAQs

Cover’s architectural shingle line typically lasts 15 to 18 years in Fort Worth, and the standing-seam metal line should hit 30 to 40 years with proper fastener maintenance. Hail and the summer heat cycle are what shorten the shingle line here, and the neoprene washers on metal panels usually need replacement before the panels do. Call (682) 841-6652 if you want us to look at the wear on yours.
Yes, a single damaged panel or a small shingle section can absolutely be repaired, and that’s what we do in about 70 percent of cases. The exceptions are when the deck underneath is soft or when the panel seam geometry is too far gone to re-seat cleanly. We’ll tell you which route makes sense after the inspection, and the written quote covers either one.
Most Cover roof repairs in Fort Worth are done in four to six hours from setup to cleanup, assuming the decking is sound. If we’re replacing decking or working a steep two-story section, it stretches to a full day. You’ll know the timeline before we start.
We keep common Cover-compatible fasteners, seam clips, flashing, and shingle bundles stocked for same-day repair, and we can order exact-match panel stock same week. The cheat code is a photo of the stamp on the underside of a panel or shingle bundle before we head out, so we’re not guessing on series or color. Call (682) 841-6652 and we’ll tell you straight what we have and what we need to order. Estimates are free.
