ViewLux Fence Installation: The Fort Worth Owner’s Guide

ViewLux fence installation in Fort Worth typically runs $3,500 to $9,000 for a full install, and most jobs we quote are done within 3 to 5 working days once materials land. You usually find us because a section of your existing ViewLux fence is leaning after a storm, a gate post has gone soft at the base, or a few boards have warped beyond saving. The good news is ViewLux uses a modular composite system, so we can often replace individual sections or hardware without tearing out the whole run.

Sawyer Remodel Fort Worth is an independent service provider. We’re not affiliated with ViewLux, but we stock and install their components regularly because Fort Worth homeowners keep asking for them. If your fence is a mix of brands or you’re unsure what you have, we’ll identify it during the estimate walkthrough. Luca Romano still handles those walkthroughs himself.

Which ViewLux Models This Applies To

ViewLux sells their composite fence line in a few different profiles, and the part numbers matter. The two most common in Fort Worth yards are the ViewLux Classic (square-top boards, smoother finish) and the ViewLux Grand (taller boards with a wood-grain texture). Both use the same aluminum post system and a hidden fastener track, which is the part most people never think about until a board pops loose.

Here’s the compatibility gotcha that trips people up: ViewLux changed the tongue-and-groove profile slightly in 2019, and older boards don’t seat cleanly into newer rails. If you bought your fence before 2019 and need section replacement, you can’t just order “any ViewLux board.” You need the prior-generation profile or we have to swap the rail too. That’s the difference between a $400 section repair and a $1,200 one, and it’s exactly the kind of thing we check before writing your estimate.

Each ViewLux panel has a stamp on the back or bottom edge with a manufacturing code. Snap a photo of that stamp before you call us. It takes ten seconds and tells us the generation, profile, and color code. Without it, we’re guessing blind.

OEM vs. aftermarket: ViewLux boards are a proprietary composite blend. Generic composite boards from the home center will not match the color, fade rate, or rail fit. For anything visible, we use OEM ViewLux parts. For buried hardware like post brackets or gate hinges, there are solid aftermarket equivalents that hold up the same or better in Texas clay soil, and we’ll tell you when that’s the smarter spend.

Signs Your ViewLux Fence Installation Is Failing

  • Boards pulling away from the rail. The hidden fastener clips lose their bite over time, especially with Fort Worth’s hot-and-dry summers followed by sudden heavy rain. The composite expands and contracts, and tired clips let go. Usually a clip-and-seat fix, not a board replacement.
  • Gate sagging or dragging on the ground. The gate post has shifted in the soil or the hinges have deformed. Fort Worth’s black clay soil moves a lot seasonally. If the post itself is sound, this is a hinge and re-shim job. If it’s not, the post comes out.
  • Fence leaning noticeably in one direction. This means the post embedment failed or was never deep enough to begin with. North Texas frost line and wind load both matter here. A lean that’s more than a few degrees out of plumb usually means that post needs to be re-set in new concrete.
  • Chalky, faded board surfaces with hairline cracks. Texas sun is relentless on composite. It won’t rot, but UV degradation is real. Cracking typically shows up first on west-facing runs where the afternoon sun hammers it. This is cosmetic until water gets inside the board core, then it’s structural.
  • Mold or mildew staining along the bottom boards. Sprinkler overspray and standing water at the base keep the lower boards damp. Composite resists rot, but surface mold takes hold and works its way into the texture. Usually fixed by adjusting sprinkler heads and deep-cleaning, but badly embedded staining means replacing the bottom course.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled family room with new windows and a window seat

In Fort Worth, ViewLux fence installation and section replacement pricing breaks down like this:

  • Full fence install, standard 6-foot height, 150 linear feet: $3,500 to $6,500
  • Full fence install, taller or sloped yard with gate(s), 200+ linear feet: $6,500 to $9,000
  • Section replacement (8-foot panel, like-for-like ViewLux): $350 to $700 per section, depending on generation and color
  • Gate post re-set with new concrete and hardware: $400 to $800
  • Single gate hinge replacement and re-hang: $180 to $350

What drives the range up: slope, existing post condition, access to the fence line (side-yard gates, tight quarters, or neighbors’ overgrown yards all add labor time), and whether your ViewLux is pre- or post-2019. The written estimate we give you includes all parts, labor, haul-away, and concrete work. No surprises at the end. And every fence job leaves with our 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing: if it’s not right, we make it right.

DIY or Call Us?

You can absolutely diagnose your own fence problem. Walk the line, put a level on your gate post, look for loose boards and clips, and check the base of each post for soft wood or cracked concrete. That’s all safe and smart, and it makes the estimate conversation faster.

Where DIY goes wrong is the repair that looks simple but isn’t. Re-setting a post means digging a hole 24 to 30 inches deep in Fort Worth clay, setting the post true in three planes, and letting concrete cure before hanging weight on it. Do it rushed and your gate sags again by fall. Cutting ViewLux composite boards cleanly requires a fine-tooth blade and steady hand, and the wrong blade melts the edge. If the section that’s failing involves a gate or a corner post, we’d say call us. Those take the most abuse and punish a sloppy fix. Call (682) 841-6652 and Luca will put eyes on it before you commit to anything.
